Die, Germs! Die!!

I may or may not have a thing with stabbing.
This winter, I have had the following plagues:
  • Stomach bug - lasted 6 days
  • Pink eye - wtf?
  • Sinus infection - currently enduring, it's awesome.
  • Ear infection - also currently enduring, apparently my left ear is a "disaster" Yay?
What the...seriously? I haven't been this sick in forever. I've always had a pretty crappy immune system. But this past year has been ridiculous. In addition to the ailments above, I've also had:
  • h. pylori infection - February 2011
  • shingles - September 2011
After much discussion with The Lunch Icon on the pure fail of my body at keeping me healthy, we have come to one conclusion.

Birthing my child has killed my system.

Since The Son Icon was born, I've dealt with all of the above, plus normal things like sniffles and colds and sore throats. I feel like I'm constantly blowing my nose, hacking up my lungs, or dealing with something crazy going on in my stomach or whatever.

Of course, the warm weather we have been having this winter could also be to blame. Which is why I've turned my stress ball into a germ and stabbed it with my scissors. Because I want the germs to die. I want them to die a fast, but painful death. Die, die, diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie.

Oh, and stay away from my son!

Has the warm weather made you or your family deal with more sickness this year?

  1. This winter has been awful at our house too. My normally healthy 2 year old has had the flu, 2 colds that lasted over a month, 2 ear infections, hand food & mouth, and pink eye. The kicker is I stopped working in October. I thought we were going to have a healthy winter.

  2. I have been sick constantly since Evie was born. I cannot get rid of the crap no matter how many sprays and pills and antibiotics and inhalers they give me. I've had h. pylori too and it sucks!

Oh no, poor little G!! I've been SUPER lucky that B has not had more than a little stuffy nose. Considering all the adults he sees regularly have been sick, it's been a blessing!! Hope that the sickness stays away the rest of the winter!! Spring is coming! :)

OMG!! Isn't it the WORST?! I thought I was dying the pain was so outrageous. My Dad had to actually come over and help me with my son one day because I was in so much pain I couldn't even pick him up!! Good grief, it was hell. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a shot immune system after giving birth!! I hope it gets better!!
